Mauricio Pochettino is expected to include the likes of Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the squad for this game as the players who participated in England’s dismal European Championships have been on an extended holiday so far. I’m sure they will be itching to get back onto the pitch after such a poor showing in France and I believe Harry Kane will have a point to prove and even if he only plays 45 minutes as expected, I wouldn’t be surprised if he made an impact. There will be one exclusion from the Tottenham squad and that is the Korean forward Son Heung-Min as he has been called up to play in the Olympics for South Korea.  Other than this they have a full squad to choose from and I do expect them to rotate throughout the game so that everyone can get some valuable minutes.

The Italians also have a relatively fit squad to choose from with Mauro Icardi and Stevan Jovetic the obvious danger men. Both have been on the scoresheet against Bayern Munich and PSG respectively and if Tottenham can keep both of these quiet then they will fancy their chances of winning this one. Other notable players that they have include Davide Santon who quite recently played for Newcastle United and Felipe Melo whose best days are behind him. Quite frankly their squad isn’t what it once was and they are in a rebuilding stage at the moment and I think this shows with the lack of star names in their squad.
