Tottenham will try and recover from their loss at Old Trafford when they host strugglers Hull City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night and here are three tips for the game.

Tottenham suffered their second league defeat of the season on Sunday when they lost 1-0 to Manchester United and it was a very disappointing performance if you were a Spurs fan. I don’t think anyone can argue that United deserved the victory and Mauricio Pochettino will be worried that his side have failed to register a victory against any of their title rivals away from home so far this season. The test on Wednesday night will be totally different as they play a side who ship goals for fun and haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league since August and the Tottenham faithful will be confident that they can get back to winning ways on Wednesday.

 

Mike Phelan’s Hull side are currently in the relegation zone after their 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend and they will be gutted that they couldn’t hold on to the victory after conceding a 89th minute equaliser. The ‘Tigers’ have been fighting a losing battle all season with their small squad and uncertainty about their manager but they have done better than expected and are only a win away from safety at the moment. This game is a free hit for the side as no-one expects them to get anything from the game so they can go out and play without any free pressure but I would be very shocked if we saw anything other than a Tottenham win on Wednesday night.

My first Tottenham vs Hull betting tip for this week is going to be for Tottenham to be winning at half-time and then full-time. I think that Spurs will be way too strong for Hull and the home fans will want a reaction after the defeat at the weekend and I can see a convincing victory. If you’re backing just Tottenham to win then you won’t be making be a rich man but the half time/full time result has slightly better odds of 3/4 and this is going to be my first football tip.

My second Spurs vs Hull prediction is going to be a William Hill enhanced special. I think that Harry Kane will score first here against a shaky Hull defence and as mentioned previously I do think Spurs will win. My third and final Premier League betting tip for Tottenham vs Hull is going to be for a penalty to be awarded in this match. Robert Snodgrass was the centre of attention at the weekend when he dived to win a penalty and Dele Alli recently done the same when Tottenham were playing Swansea so I think we could see another contentious decision here. Tottenham will be without summer signing Vincent Janssen as he is still recovering from an ankle injury and there will be late fitness tests for Erik Lamela and Moussa Dembele who are both carrying knocks. Hull City are without strikers Abel Hernandez and Will Keane so it’s likely that Adama Diomande will lead the line for Hull with Robert Snodgrass playing just behind the big man.
