Championship Betting Tips 2015/16

Leeds to get relegated – 6/1 with Bet365

Leeds and particularly their eccentric owner, Massimo Cellino, are a disaster waiting to happen. Uwe Rosler is a sensible enough appointment on paper but he did a poor job at Wigan and the club’s opening games look an absolute nightmare start with two Yorkshire derbies and tough trips to Derby and Bristol City. Rosler could well be gone early on as Cellino rarely thinks twice about sacking a manager, if indeed he thinks at all. Signings like Chris Wood and Sol Bamba are potentially an improvement, but the Leeds circus is always one more likely to fail than succeed with the current hierarchy. Popular academy head coach and former first team boss Neil Redfearn has resigned this week describing his position as "untenable" and hinting at meddling by Cellino.

Leeds Bottom Three on September 1st – 7/2 with Sky Bet

As alluded to above, the opening fixtures for Leeds are perilous with away trips to Reading, Bristol City and Derby while facing Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road. The self-proclaimed 'Champions of Europe' are a great price to be staring at League One early doors. 11/1 for the biggest club in the league (if not the whole world) to be dead last after the August fixtures is a tempting price too for my football tips.

MK Dons Top Six on September 1st- 9/4 with Sky Bet

Unpopular MK Dons are fulfilling the dream of owner Pete Winkleman and edging closer to the Premier League, much to the chagrin of football supporters who can remember the 20th century when there was a likeable little club in South-West London by the name of Wimbledon. Like them or loathe them, Karl Robinson's side are in the second tier now on merit and the opening fixtures could hardly be kinder with winnable home matches against Preston, Bolton and Birmingham and an away trip to relegation favourites Rotherham mean they could have plenty of momentum early on.
