Hull to beat Sheff United

Pretty obvious reasons for this selection, as Hull play the FA Cup semi-final against a side who are two divisions below them. I was surprised to see odds of 8/11(at time of writing) on the Premier League team winning. They are enjoying an impressive season after promotion, currently sitting in 12th place and are a very well drilled, organised team, they should be able to cope with what a League One team have to throw at them. This is despite a huge turnaround in Sheffield United's season after the appointment of Nigel Clough.

Hoffenheim to beat Augsburg

We are going to give the Bundesliga team another chance after they let down the 18/1 treble last week. They performed relatively well though in a 1-1 draw at Hertha. They have won 3/4 at home and have scored 2 or more an impressive 12/14 at home. They face a spirited but limited Augsburg team who did beat a distracted Bayern last week. Before that they had lost 3 of their previous 4. At 29/20 Hoffenheim represent good value.

Valencia to beat Elche

Our last selection is in La Liga and I fancy Valencia to see off Elche at The Mestailla. Valencia will be flying with confidence after defeating Basle 5-0 in the Europa League on Thursday. They have had a relatively disappointing season but are still a difficult proposition when playing at home. They have only been defeated once in their last 7 home games. Elche are stubborn opponents but struggle away from home and are winless in 10 on the road. I'm looking for Valencia to continue their Europa League momentum on Sunday.
