Mark Hughes' men have had a pretty dismal start to the season. I'm sure their fans would have a case that they've been unlucky as they could easily have gained a draw at Goodison park a couple of weeks ago after a contentious decision to give a penalty was made. They've drawn away at Middlesbrough and followed it up with defeats against Manchester City and Everton. It doesn't get any easier for the Potters as they host a tough opposition.

 

Stoke fans are already very pleased with the late additions of Bruno Martins Indi and Wilfried Bony as both defence and attack have been bolstered. They've looked suspect at the back and Martins Indi is a strong, commanding centre half who the Stoke fans will appreciate. If Bony can rediscover the form he had at Swansea then Stoke have got one of the most clinical strikers in the league. He adds something different to their other strikers as Bojan is the complete opposite to Bony so they have extra options now.

 

Spurs on the other hand have had a steady start to their season. A 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace was sandwiched between two 1-1 draws with both teams from Merseyside. Without drawing any attention to themselves that's a decent start, though I'm sure the Spurs faithful would like to see more goals being scored as well as Harry Kane being on the scoresheet sooner rather than later as he's yet to find the net this season.

 

The protracted signing of N'Koudou was finally confirmed on deadline day as well as the late capture of Moussa Sissoko after snatching him from the clutches of Everton have bolstered their midfield areas after letting Nacer Chadli move to West Brom. Pochettino will be keen to get another win under their belt in the league before the Champions League gets underway and their schedule gets a little more jam packed.
