Watford to beat Bournemouth 4/6:

Watford are looking to overcome last seasons Play-Off disappointment by making a strong push at promotion this year. They’ve made a perfect start overcoming Birmingham in the league last weekend and knocking Bristol Rovers out the cup in midweek. They take on recently promoted Bournemouth, who have also made a good start, to the season beating Charlton and beating Portsmouth in the Capital One Cup midweek. However, Watford are a step up from the teams they’ve played so far and Vicarage Road is a very difficult place to go, Watford should continue their fine start and send the fans home happy.

Charlton to beat Middlesbrough 23/20: 

I can see Charlton winning here more due to the disarray Boro find themselves in rather than for the quality Charlton possess. Middlesbrough opened their campaign by being beaten 2-1 at home to Leicester and followed it up by being humiliated by Accrington Stanley at The Riverside on Tuesday night. Charlton also opened their season with a defeat losing to Bournemouth on the opening day, however they didn’t seem to play badly and followed this up with a morale boosting thumping of Oxford United in the midweek cup matches. Middlesbrough fans have lost patience with Tony Mobray and there are huge issues on the pitch with a tiny squad with a lack of ability. Boro’s last away win in the League game last November, Charlton are a decent side who should take advantage.

QPR to beat Huddersfield 23/20:

QPR head to Yorkshire on the back of two wins and two good performances and should carry that on. They started against Sheffield Wednesday on day one and came from behind to pick up a good solid win before seeing off Exeter 2-0 in midweek. Huddersfield opened with a defeat to play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest before beating Bradford in the cup but QPR should have far too much quality. Austin looked sharp on Tuesday and with the like of Andy Johnson, Faurlin and Hoilett to back him up QPR have bags of quality. Huddersfield struggled last season and the squad lacks star quality, unlike QPR’s who should have too much for them.

MK Dons to beat Crewe 4/6:

Now to League One where MK Dons go in search of their first league win of the season against a Crewe side on the same mission. Dons started the season with a draw away to Shrewsbury but kept a clean sheet in the process. They then travelled to Northampton and picked up a 2-1 win in the League Cup. Crewe also drew on the opening day playing out a 3-3 draw with Rotherham but lost in midweek to League 2 side Bury in the cup. Dons will look to kick start their season on Saturday and in front of their own fans should have too much for Crewe.

Leyton Orient to beat Shrewsbury 4/5:

Orient picked up one of the standout results in the opening weekend in League One as they smashed Carlisle 5-1. They carried on their good form against Coventry in the cup with a 3-2 win. Shrewsbury opened with a 0-0 draw against MK Dons, before losing to Bolton in the Cup. Neither particularly poor results but Orient have looked good so far and should have far too much for Shrewsbury.
