El Clasico takes place this weekend between Real Madrid and Barcelona and the bad news for Real Madrid is that Lionel Messi will be fit.
Messi has been out since picking up an injury against Las Palmas in September but teammate Adriano has hinted that their star man could return for this weekend’s El Clasico.
The match on Saturday is already a key game in the La Liga title race, a win for Barcelona will see them go six points clear of their rivals but a Real Madrid victory will see them draw level on 27 points, Messi’s involvement will go a long way to predicting the outcome of the fixture.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo will once again be the central figure for the home side and there were videos published on Twitter this week of him putting in extra training ahead of El Clasico this weekend.

Looking at the stats for Lionel Messi against Real Madrid, it isn’t hard to see why Barcelona are so desperate to get him back into the starting line-up for El Clasico, Messi has been eight of Barcelona’s last nine goals against Real Madrid, scoring five times and creating three as reported by 101GreatGoals.com with a recent Twitter post.

In 30 matches against Real Madrid, Lionel Messi has scored 21 goals with 12 assists while Cristiano was the first ever player to score in six consecutive Clasicos.
If Lionel Messi is fit for this weekend’s Real Madrid vs Barcelona fixture it will be another chance to see the two best two players on the planet and when you consider that both teams have scored in the last 18 meetings between the teams it isn’t hard to see why El Clasico is one of the most anticipated fixtures in world football.
