Premier League winner betting tips and prediction for the 2014/15 season and reasons why Chelsea will win the Premier League.
From a Chelsea perspective it was a quiet World Cup in Brazil. Hazard and the now departed Lukaku failed to set the world alight, Torres and Cahill had tournaments to forget, Mikel and Moses drifted along safely to the last 16 with Nigeria, and, despite a promising start, Oscar faded into the background to join Brazilian compatriots Ramires and Willian.
André Schürrle was the Blues' only success story – breaking Algerian hearts in the last 16, piling further humiliation on the hosts with a double in the semi-finals and assisting the eventual tournament-winning goal against Argentina – all from off the bench, incidentally a place he may find himself again when the Premier League kicks off.
That is compliment to Chelsea's vast strength-in-depth this season. Even Petr ÄŒech, the ever-present goalkeeper of the last decade, finds his place under threat following the return of Thibaut Courtois from Spain, another Blue who left Brazil that very colour.
The tall Belgian has been joined in West London this summer by left back Filipe Luís and striker Diego Costa, arriving for a combined total of £48m and both teammates of Courtois at Atlético Madrid last season, Costa being exactly what Chelsea were crying out for as trophy after trophy slowly fell away as 2014 wore on.
Costa netted 27 times during Atlético's triumphant 2013/14 La Liga campaign and his physicality bodes well for continuing the trend in England, much like that of returning legend Didier Drogba – a move just as important off the pitch in harmonising the dressing room to counterbalance the summer departure of another club legend, Frank Lampard. Remove David Luiz from the equation for a hefty £40m, throw another Spanish import and playmaker with Premier League experience into the mix with Cesc Fàbregas and there you have a team not just worthy of winning the title, but winning it at a canter and the bet looks unmissable for our Premier League winner prediction this season.

Man City have strengthened carefully this summer; Arsenal stylishly; Liverpool and Man United necessarily. Chelsea have strengthened in all of those ways both from the heart and from the head – they got their business done promptly and are now truly a complete team oozing quality everywhere.
Considering how close they came last season, juggling multiple competitions into the final stretch, this year should see them rise to another level. Matić and Salah will now both be eligible for the Champions League too, so no headaches for Mourinho in the European rotation department and yet another reason to recommend Chelsea to win the Premier League for our football tip.
That said, this is a squad at ease with multiple games weekly. Players who have spent their careers playing and winning big games, leaders both on and off the pitch who motivate and teach those around them, and a manager who isn't afraid of adopting whatever tactics necessary to win, again not confined to within a stadium.
It is expected this team will handle it to ultimately finish as champions and when you break it down, you wonder: 'how can they not?'
