When Paul Pogba first arrived on the scene with Manchester United just a handful of short seasons ago, the fiery young Frenchman certainly looked like he had all the talent necessary to make a real splash among the English top-flight in the not too distant future.
Several lack of first team opportunities at Old Trafford, subsequent rave reviews from the Italian Serie A with Juventus, and many millions of pounds later however – the 23-year-old play-maker looks set on joining up with his former employers among the Premier League for the 2016/17 domestic campaign, with Manchester United reportedly shelling out close to £89 million in order to secure the potentially record-breaking deal.
Well, even though Pogba’s upcoming move to Old Trafford isn’t quite signed, sealed and delivered right in the here and now…

Let's be honest- Pogba is a great signing. World class midfielder. £100m is way too much, but I wouldn't care, it's not my money.

Although big money transfer fees don’t always equate directly with success down at Old Trafford in the modern era…
Why's everyone going mad over pogba? Di Maria was more proven at the time and he didn't get this hype. Pogba's good no doubt but relax.

Whilst it remains to be seen whether or not the soon-to-be £89 million man is really worth such an investment in the cold light of day…
Also little point in debating whether or not Pogba is overpriced. Nobody knows. Best to judge on the day he leaves rather than day he signs.

…the vast majority of Manchester United supporters remain thankful for all the recent work that has taken place down at their club over the past few weeks…
Now the Pogba deal is almost done, it's time to relax and give Jose and Woodward a big applaud for one of the best transfer windows ever.

So then, even if the quick-footed Frenchman admittedly fails to set the English top-flight alight at the first time of asking in 2016/17…
Pogba will be a flop. He's just an above average midfielder that's been hyped up for playing good against Italian farmers

…most Premier League onlookers will nonetheless be looking to keep one keen eye on the man who is largely expected to tear it up alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co. down at Old Trafford next season!
