Reading vs. Liverpool – Saturday 13^th April 3pm – 8/15

We stay in the Premier League with this tie, as Liverpool will look to get back to winning ways and Reading will look to, well, look less helpless. Nigel Adkins tenure at was hardly marked by its defensive discipline, which is exactly what was used last week to nullify Liverpool by West Ham. Since the arrival of Phillipe Coutinho Liverpool have looked more balanced going forward, as he has proven another outlet for the frontline with his excellent vision, as well as taking the weight off of the likes of Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard. Under a new manager it is difficult to adjust normally, and Reading look to be no exception, and with Liverpool hot on the tails of their city rivals Everton who sit one place above them, this tie could become very ugly for Reading.

Barnsley vs. Charlton – Saturday 13^th April, 3pm – Evens

Despite all their hard work and fine results in recent weeks, Barnsley still sit too close to the relegation zone for their liking, and will look to push themselves further up the table when a Charlton side who have no hope left of a play off place come to visit. Barnsley have remarkably turned themselves into one of the toughest away days in the Championship, with 5 wins in their last 6 at home, meaning they will take on Charlton with plenty of confidence, as they go in search of the double over the London club. Barnsley have also shown they know how to score at home, as over the same 6 matches they are averaging just under 2 goals per game. Charlton may only be playing for prize money at the moment in the Championship, but they have been in decent form since the middle of March. Strong charactered wins against Leeds and Bolton as well as a hard draw at Brighton will have Charlton fancying their chances, and ready to counter attack against Barnsley, a team who themselves relish counter attacks at the moment. This game could be end to end, and hopefully we’ll see plenty of goals.
