Cardiff v Newcastle 42/41:
Newcastle have had a bad couple of weeks. Consecutive 3-2 defeats have heaped the pressure on Alan Pardew and they are desperate for a win here. They have seen over 2.5 goals in three consecutive matches now and in all their away games so far this season. Their defense has looked awful of late but they still have loads of threat going forward. They take on a Cardiff side who have seen over 2.5 goals in their last two matches and in half of their games so far this season. With Newcastle leaking goals of late and the likes of Remy still scoring, you have to expect more of the same here.
Peterborough v Preston 5/6:
To League One now and two of the leagues top four. Five of Peterborough’s nine matches this season have seen over 2.5 with them managing to score in every match. At home so far this season for Posh half of their games have seen over 2.5. After starting the season with two consecutive 0-0 draws Preston have burst in to life with goals aplenty. Six of their last seven matches have seen over 2.5 goals with them managing a goal in seven in a row. Two of their three away games have seen over 2.5, including a 4-4 draw with Coventry. With two sides that have scored so many goals this season going head to head, there should be more of the same here.
Port Vale v Bristol City 5/6:
To Staffordshire next and Port Vale. Vale have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their nine matches so far this season. However at home they have seen it in three of their four matches to date and the other was a 1-1 draw. City have seen over 2.5 in six of their nine matches to date with no less than two goals in any of their matches. Four away games to date for them has seen over 2.5 in three of their games on the road. With two sides who leak and score goals battling it out here, I expect more of the same.
Swindon v Tranmere 9/10:
Finally to Swindon, and a Swindon side who have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their nine matches to date and in four of their last five. Their last three home matches have seen over 2.5 goals and Swindon seem to be scoring more and more as the season goes on. Five of Tranmere’s nine matches have seen over 2.5 to date and away from home two of their four games have seen over 2.5 goals. Swindon are the main reason this is in here, they seem to find it hard to keep clean sheets but have no issue scoring, making this look like a safe bet.
