Chelsea travel up to Stadium MK in the televised FA Cup 4th round tie against the MK Dons. There haven’t been many cup upsets in this years’ FA Cup, mainly draws rather than outright wins, and I’d be surprised to see anything less than a routine win for Chelsea again.

 

MK Dons v Chelsea Predictions

 

MK Dons had a recent giant killing thrashing Manchester United in the League Cup in the not too distant past, however times have changed and MK Dons have bigger priorities. They’ve moved up a division and in the midst of a relegation fight in the Championship and will see the FA Cup as a luxury over a must win match.

 

Chelsea on the other hand have really limited their chance for silverware this season. They won’t be winning the League Cup, they’re miles behind in the Premier League so that leaves FA Cup and Champions League. The Champions League will be their priority no doubt, but the prospect of playing PSG means a place in the last eight is in no way guaranteed. The FA Cup is by far their easiest route to a trophy this season, and I do believe they won’t take any risks and will play a strong XI.

 

I like the look of the Chelsea -1 Handicap for my football predictions this weekend. They may make 3-4 changes but the quality they have in their squad is strong, compared to MK Dons who may make changes and their squad is far more limited than Chelsea’s.

Defensively Chelsea could do with improving, they always seem likely to concede a goal. They did however keep a clean sheet at the Emirates, something not many teams can do. Although it was against 10 men, this should give them confidence toward the rest of the season, and I think Hiddink will be keen to keep their form going and ensure their defence remain tight and give nothing away.

This one may be a risk as Hiddink may decide to rest him for the game, however for Willian to be announced man of the match is an incredible 8/1 with Bet Victor.
