Historically Man Utd have the upper hand.  The Red Devils have taken more Premier League points against Villa than against any other team (100), and won 26 of the last 36 meetings between the teams.  With Villa’s recent record of not scoring in four of their last five games versus Man Utd, and their away form lately being pretty poor, I have to bet on Manchester United to get back on track and take the spoils in our weekend football betting tips. Man Utd are odds of 9/20 to win with Bet Victor. 

While Villa can sometimes deliver a great performance, such as against Chelsea  a few weeks ago, it’s hard to get last weekend’s capitulation against Stoke out of mind, and I’m not tempted by the 15/2 (Bet Victor) odds that they can do the job here.

While nothing has been straightforward for Utd this season, there surely has to be some type of reaction from players who were good enough to win the title last season, and maybe this time they will take control of the game early.  I can see them leading the game from the first half onwards, and 23/20 with Bet365 that they are ahead by the half and at full time looks good to me. 

While there aren’t any goalscorer odds for Manchester United that attract me for my football tips, I’m almost sure that while they’ll score a few and they won’t keep a clean sheet.  Christian Benteke could be a real threat for a defence that struggles against physicality and I’d back him at 13/5 to score anytime.  In fact I think the best bet of the game is Utd to win and both teams to score, and that’s at 12/5 with Coral.
