It's that time of the season again – the Manchester derby. The first for Man United manager Louis van Gaal and his Gaalacticos such as Angel Di Maria.

Man Utd's recent record in the Manchester derby has been poor, losing five of their last six against their blue rivals. However a point against Chelsea last week coupled with Man City's recent poor form will have given United new hope of getting something at the Etihad.

Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini has said that he's "worried" by their recent form after losses to West Ham and Newcastle within the space of a few days. I predict a third successive loss for the  Citizens is unlikely however and I think they'll rebound with a win over a Man Utd side who are still finding their feet. Sergio Aguero carries City's key attacking threat and is the Premier League's joint top goalscorer so far this season with 9 goals in just 9 games. Aguero has also scored 4 in his previous 5 games against United so he stands a decent chance of scoring against a shaky-looking United defence this weekend, especially if Aguero gets the proper support from the likes of Yaya Toure. Man Utd are not short of attacking options either though with Robin Van Persie scoring against Chelsea last Sunday and Wayne Rooney returning from suspension. Rooney had started the season the most prolific of the United strikers until he was sent off against West Ham and will be looking to pick up where he left off if he comes back into the side to face City. Rooney to score anytime is 11/4 and is my final Man City v Man Utd prediction.
