The home side may have received plaudits recently for their performances away at Arsenal and Man City but they have just one win in their last six games in all competitions. They have a decent home record this season and before the defeat to West Brom, they had won their last three games at Anfield, scoring 12 goals and keeping three clean sheets in the process. Their defence has been excellent at home and they have the second best home record in the league, conceding on average less than a goal a game.

Swansea’s form has dipped slightly in recent months but they still sit a lofty seventh in the table. They have lost just once in nine games but that run includes just three wins.  Away from home, Swansea have been watertight and have conceded less goals than any other team in the divison. They have struggled to score too though, and have too netted less than any other team away from home too.

Daniel Sturridge should return for Liverpool and can be expected to be amongst the goals following his bright start for the club. Michu scored twice at the weekend but had gone six games without a goal prior to that.
