Leicester vs West Brom Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Leicester vs West Brom predictions and football betting tips for this weekend’s Premier League fixture and the best odds for each selection made by our tipster.

Champions of England Leicester City will face Tony Pulis’ West Brom side on Sunday in the last Premier League fixture before the dreaded international break. Here are two tips for the game live on Sky Sports.

The Champions come into this match after two impressive draws in a week. They drew 1-1 at White Hart Lane last Saturday before gaining a valuable point away in the Champions League midweek against Copenhagen and they will be hoping to go one better on Sunday. Their home form has been their saving grace in the league this season with the majority of points coming at the King Power stadium and they are unbeaten at home in the league. They currently sit 11th in the league table but they will be hoping with their next set of fixtures to climb up the table and sit comfortably in the top half but a repeat of last year’s heroics look very unlikely. The baggies lost 4-0 at home to Manchester City last week but that score flattered City and Tony Pulis said that he was happy with some of his side’s performance. The manager himself got a contract extension and that shows what a good job he has done at the Hawthorns and I have no doubt that with him as their manager they will be comfortable this season. They are currently 16th in the league table but they are only three points away from being in the top ten and if they win on Sunday then they will overtake Leicester and the league table will have a better look to it for West Brom fans.

Leicester City vs West Brom Predictions

I’m finding this game really difficult to call and with both teams scoring in four of the past five meetings I was tempted to go with both teams to score but Leicester let me down in midweek so my first Leicester vs West Brom betting tip is going to be in the anytime goal scorer market. Claudio Ranieri seems to swap and change his strike force at the moment so I will be backing the Algerian playmaker Riyad Mahrez to score. He has the talent to unlock any defence and I think that he is guaranteed to play at least 70 minutes which gives him a good opportunity to score and odds for this to happen are 21/10 at Bet365 and this is my first Premier League tip of the afternoon.

My second Leicester vs West Brom prediction is in a market that I have had two winners in the past two weeks and that is the cards market. I can see this game being a stop-start one with lots of fouls and bookings and with both sides averaging above two bookings a game in the past five games I think that both teams to get 20+ match booking points (two yellow cards each) at 15/8 is fantastic value and you can find this at Sky Bet.

Leicester City vs West Brom Team News

Kasper Schmeichel is going to be out for several weeks after fracturing his hand in the 0-0 draw with Copenhagen and this will be a huge loss for Leicester as he has been one of their stand out performers this season. At the other end of the pitch, Islam Slimani could be back in the squad after not travelling to Copenhagen last week.  Club record signing Nacer Chadli will be missing for West Brom after having minor knee surgery and this is a big blow considering the impact he has made this season.

Leicester City vs West Brom Head to Head

This game doesn’t scream goals when you think about it but surprisingly there has been four or more goals in four of the last five meetings between the sides. When these sides met in March the game ended 2-2 and before that Leicester had two games in a row with the same 3-2 score line. Salmon Rondon has scored the last two times these sides have faced each other and will look to make it three in a row here.

Leicester City vs West Brom Betting Odds

Leicester are favourites for this game and are 5/6 to win at William Hill. The draw is best priced 11/4 with Betfred and if you think that the baggies will grab all three points then a West Brom win is 9/2 at Betfair. Even though he hasn’t scored for a while Jamie Vardy is favourite to score first and is 4/1 to open the scoring but Salomon Rondon looks better value to me at 15/2 with Paddy Power.
