Leicester v Norwich betting tips

Leicester vs Norwich Betting Tips and Predictions – 27/02/16

Leicester City vs Norwich City predictions and weekend football tips for today's 3pm Premier League kick-off as Leicester look to stay top of the table.

There a crucial game at both ends of the table today as league leaders Leicester take on Norwich at The King Power. Keep up to date with all the action on Sky Sports at 3pm and here are our match predictions and football betting tips.

Leicester vs Norwich Predictions

Leicester City have had a couple of weeks to lick their wounds following the dramatic 2-1 loss to Arsenal a fortnight ago. The Foxes seemingly had the game in their hands following Jamie Vardy's opener, but two individual mistakes cost the team dearly. Whilst Danny Simpson's red card particularly telling as it changed the whole dynamic of the match, Marcin Wasilewski's calamitous foul in the fifth minute of stoppage time proved to be the real killer blow the resulting free kick was headed in by Danny Welbeck.

Nevertheless, the hosts had recorded straight wins in the previous three games against Stoke, Liverpool and Manchester City. If you had offered Claudio Ranieri nine points from four games against that calibre of opposition, he would have chewed your arm off there and then. Leicester now head into a very favourable run of fixtures against a number of the bottom eight sides in the division, and lest we forget, still have a two-point cushion at the top of the Premier League.

Opponents Norwich had actually put some distance between themselves and the relegation pack following a productive festive period where they took nine points from four games. However, Alex Neil's side have totally fallen to pieces in recent weeks and have now only taken one point from their last six matches and conceded an absolutely horrendous 18 goals in the process. To compound matters, Norwich even suffered the indignity of losing to the laughing stock of the league in Aston Villa and didn't even manage to score goal.

Unlike their opponents this weekend, the fixture computer has not been kind to Norwich over the coming weeks and The Canaries now face Leicester, Chelsea and Manchester City in their next four league games. Even an away match at Swansea that is sandwiched between the three doesn't offer an awful lot of hope considering Norwich have the joint third worst away record in the whole league.

Heading into Saturday's clash and Leicester are understandable favourites in the latest betting odds for Leicester v Norwich at a best price of 1/2. Norwich can be backed way out at 11/2, with the draw on offer at 7/2.

Based on recent form and current league standings, it would be totally ridiculous to suggest anything other than a comfortable home win for my Premier League predictions. However, odds of 1/2 aren't exactly the most appealing and I don't want to insult anyone's intelligence by suggesting such a bet. Nevertheless, a Leicester win and both teams to score is available at a potentially far more rewarding 23/10, and considering the sides are first and joint third respectively in the charts for BTTS results, this bet may well have some legs come the final whistle.

My first Leicester vs Norwich prediction is for Leicester to win and BTTS. What are the best odds for Leicester BTTS against Norwich? It’s 23/10 at William Hill.

Moving over to the goalscoring market for our first goalscorer tip and we can't ignore Jamie Vardy's electric form over the course of this season. The England International now has 19 goals to his name already this campaign and could well finish the season as the league's top scorer. Vardy has also inherited penalty kick duties from Rihad Mahrez following a couple of costly misses, which should only highlight his betting appeal.

My first goalscorer betting tip for Leicester v Norwich is Jamie Vardy. What are the best odds for Vardy to score first? It’s 7/2 at Coral.

Finally, for a slightly left-field punt in the penalty market, and Leicester have been awarded more spot-kicks (10) than any other side in the Premier league this season. In addition to this, Norwich have conceded more penalties (7) than any other side in the division, and considering the abundance of pace and trickery in The Foxes' attack, could be set for another torrid afternoon at the back.

My final Leicester vs Norwich betting tip is for there to be a penalty to be awarded at any time in the match at 10/3 with William Hill
