Leicester v Aston Villa Predictions
Following their remarkable end to last season, Leicester City have also started this campaign in similar fashion. The Foxes are currently undefeated, sat third in the Premier League table and playing some really entertaining football. Riyad Mahrez has been a revelation in midfield – form which has surprisingly seen him linked with Barcelona – and the strike partnership between Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki appears to be blossoming in it's early stages.
Opponents Aston Villa make the short trip to the King Power off the back of the much needed international break. Tim Sherwood's men have not started the season particularly well, having only picked up four points from their four matches so far. Villa did manage to snatch an excellent win away to Bournmouth on the opening day, but based on the balance of play, were certainly fortunate to leave with the three points. Two losses followed this, before they bagged a point away to Sunderland a fortnight ago, in a match they twice took the lead in.
Odds for the clash have Leicester City and well-priced favourites at 19/20. Villa can be backed at 7/2, with the draw on offer at 11/4.
Based on recent form, I can only see one winner on Sunday. Leicester look a really dangerous proposition these days and are currently averaging two goals a game so far this season. They are, however, still liable to concede goals – every one of their games so far has seen a BTTS outcome. With this in mind, back Leicester to win and both teams to score at 29/10 with Coral.
Moving over to the goalscoring market and new signing Shinji Okazaki has caught my eye since his move to the Premier League. The Japanese international puts in a real shift up front and certainly knows where the goal is as well. Okazaki scored his first goal for The Foxes recently and also notched twice in midweek for his national side, back him to score anytime in the match at 7/4 with Betfred.
Finally for a bit of a punt in the man of the match market and as previously mentioned, Riyad Mahrez is in a real purple patch at present having scored four goals already this campaign. The Algerian international also benefits from taking penalties and set-pieces which make him outstanding value at 8/1 with Bet Victor to pick up the man of the match award.
