Leicester welcome Stoke to the King Power stadium on Saturday with kick off scheduled for 15:00.  Leicester are pushing to get back to the top of the Premier League with a win whilst Stoke are looking to keep themselves in with a chance in Europe, who will win between Leicester and Stoke?

 

Premier League Predictions – Leicester v Stoke

 

Leicester have suffered a dip in form recently and Vardy & Mahrez are off the boil, they have only picked up one win from seven games in all competitions including the recent defeat at home to Tottenham. Ranieri made it very clear after the game his focus is on the league hence the weaker Leicester starting line-up. Is this more than a dip in form or is this a game the Foxes can use to get them back onto winning ways?

 

Stoke currently sitting in 7th in the league will want three points here to keep Europe in sight. They have won four of the last seven in all competitions against some of the higher placed teams in the division including a draw with Arsenal. Mark Hughes will see this as a glorious opportunity to close points on the teams above and make use of Arnautovic who seems to have hit some good form.

 

Will both teams score in Leicester v Stoke? In this match up I believe both teams have the ability to score, although Leicester have lacked goals in the last few weeks but after resting more of the senior players midweek and being back at home should mean they are able to nick one. Stoke seem to be able to grab a couple of goals per game at the minute and the front men seem to be linking up really well.

Stoke’s front men do have the ability to cause a bit of panic among any defence, quite usually they are able to draw a foul just outside the box or be pulled down when on the counter. Robert Huth has seven yellow cards in the league this season including one in last weekend’s game against Villa. I feel when Stoke counter he won’t have the pace to keep up so may be forced to commit a “professional foul” or trip a tricky player outside the box.
