Juventus vs Sevilla Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Juventus host Europa League specialists Sevilla in one of the weeks more intriguing Champions league games. Here are some predictions for the game in Turin on Wednesday night.

 

Juventus are strong favourites to win against Sevilla and it isn’t hard to see why. Sevilla have started their La Liga season well with seven points from nine but a match a match against the dominant team in Italy could be a step too far.

 

Juventus

Serie A champions have started the season of in dominating fashion with three league wins out of three and they have looked comfortable in all of them. Even at this early stage, I expect Juventus to win the league title so I do think that they will be judged on their performance in the Champions League. They paid the price for finishing second in their group last season after they lost to Bayern Munich in the last sixteen and will be hoping to win their group this season. I think Sevilla will be the Italians most difficult opponents in this group with Lyon and Dinamo Zagreb the other teams in this section and both teams here will fancy their chances of qualifying. Even though Juventus lost Paul Pogba to Manchester United in the summer for a world record fee, they had a very good transfer window with Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain the standout buys. The latter has scored three goals in three appearances and is already paying back his hefty price tag.

 

Sevilla    

Europa League holders Sevilla have also started their domestic season of well with seven points in their first three games and currently sit 2nd in the La Liga table. They qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League last season and will be hoping to make an impact against the giants of European football this season. Sevilla were poor away from home last season in all competitions but especially in the group stage of this competition. They lost all three games and this gave them no chance to qualify for the next round and they will need to do better this year. They actually faced Juventus away from home at the same stage last season and they lost 2-0 and I fear it could be the same result on Wednesday. They lost a few important players in the summer and I don’t think they have replaced them as well as they could have done. Samir Nasri needs to prove that he is still a quality player and Ganso hasn’t hit La Liga alight so far. I don’t think they have the calibre of players that Juventus have and this should show on Wednesday.

 

Juventus vs Sevilla Predictions

I have mentioned that I think Sevilla will struggle in Turin and I do fancy Juventus to win for my football betting tips. Gonzalo Higuain has scored in two of the Italians wins so far this season and I expect him to grab a goal here. My second tip is also a 13/8 shot and this one is for Juventus to score in both halves.
