Although Manchester City can seemingly spend whatever they wish on big-name transfer signings due to the incredible surplus of resources on offer behind the scenes at the Etihad, £27 million for a largely unknown youngster – who has incidentally never plied his trade out of South America – does in-fact seem like something of a gamble at best.
Gabriel Jesus supposedly set the Brazilian domestic game alight last season with Palmeiras, and whilst the vast majority of regular football supporters can’t quite claim to know the 19-year-old’s overall game inside and out, the early indications nonetheless look rather promising for Manchester City with the ‘new Neymar’ looking to impress among the Premier League in 2016/17.
