After becoming the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches, the name ‘Jamie Vardy’ quite rightly remains firmly among headline news for most genuine fans of the English top-flight.
Leicester City’s current striking sensation has successfully broken Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record, and subsequently sent the collective expectations of the Foxes faithful well and truly through the roof as a result.
However, as life the Premier League invariably proves tough even at the best of times, it seems Jamie Vardy doesn’t quite arrive without his critics when all is said and done. Although his immediate goal-scoring achievement can’t really be knocked form any relevant perspective – several voices out there expect the 28-year-old to drift off just as quickly as he first burst onto the scene.
So then, in light of the Foxes front-man’s recent exploits in front of goal, how do Leicester City supporters – and general football fans alike – really rate Jamie Vardy?
Well, although the in-form Leicester man does in-fact deserve massive credit for his recent achievement…
Congratulations #JamieVardy Just 4 years from Non league player to record breaker. A lesson for kids and overpaid prima donnas alike!

…especially if the priase is coming from the former holder of the Premier League record itself…
Well done vardy7! You're number one now and you deserved it. #11inarow. https://t.co/qJHjZlnFDA

…some fans have rather predictably taken things a bit far…
Jamie Vardy is the best player in the world #ballondor

The current Foxes favourite must be on cloud 9 at the moment of course, for as well as shining rather incredibly on an individual level in 2015/16, his team are also over-achieving massively in the Premier League right about now – and don’t look short of confidence by any measure.
Yet whilst the hype surrounding Jamie Vardy may very well be hitting somewhat momentous levels these days, there are nonetheless those who seem less than impressed with the striker’s overall game…
Credit to Vardy scoring 11 in 11 but let's not get carried away, he wouldn't lace Van Nistelrooy's boots

Why would u want Arsenal to buy Vardy? He's 29 in January and only has 1 good year on him if he doesnt get overrated by media.
— Römeo (@Arsenal490304) November 29, 2015
…some passionate football fans have also highlighted the chances of Jamie Vardy becoming a ‘flash in the pan’ kind of character – with less than favourable results it seems…
As much as I hate to say it, I think Jamie Vardy is going to be a one-season wonder. He'll drop off the map next season.
— King Nima XVI (@Nimaldo16) November 30, 2015
In the end, Leicester’s Jamie Vardy will have very little time for any criticism pointed in his direction at the minute, even though some remain resolutely against the recent sensation surrounding the striker's name…
Can’t wait for the epic fall of Jamie Vardy ? 11 average games and people think he is amazing – let’s see how long it continues for

As things currently stand however, the 28-year-old has now written his name down in Premier League history for future generations to admire, his team are currently impressing in the league with every passing week it seems – and as every single Leicester City fan seems more than happy with the striker’s recent output – things simply couldn’t look any better for the former Stocksbridge Park Steels man right about now.
Yes, this particular vein of form looks like it could well come to an abrupt end sooner rather than later, but for the time being at least – good luck to the man!
