Let’s face it – although the race for Premier League top-spot remains far from over at this particular stage in the proceedings – Manchester City’s title-winning chances now look far less certain after Manuel Pellegrini’s men seemingly came up second best against the Foxes this weekend.
Leicester City have simply provided fans of the English top-flight with a refreshing new turn of events this season, proving that big name signings and billionaire owners don’t always guarantee success among the Premier League in the long run.
So then, as the Etihad faithful nonetheless saw their expensively assembled squad notably humbled last time out at home, have Manchester City still got what it takes to land the league title this season?
Well, even though Manuel Pellegrini’s side have no reason to completely give up hope just yet, some fans are failing to find many positives from the recent loss to Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City…
Well done Leicester! Man City you should be ashamed and embarrassed with yourselves. To the defenders, so long farewell when pep arrives!

Perhaps Manchester City's notorious inconsistency issues have once again come back around to haunt those down at the Etihad with all things considered…
Man City have been battered by Spurs, Liverpool and Leicester this season. Really really poor.

…even though some feel Manuel Pellegrini has been unfairly treated in light of the recent managerial developments at Manchester City this season…
Terrible decision by Man city to undermine Pellegrini in the middle of a Title chase.

It seems certain City fans have already cast their thoughts towards the upcoming era led by Pep Guardiola at their club however…
I can imagine Pep would want to sell at least 10 Man City players when he takes over. They've so many players who are just not good enough

…but after this weekend’s disappointing performance against the Foxes, perhaps the current Bayern Munich manager may be having second thoughts over his recent decision…

Many have indeed speculated on whether or not the Etihad really represents a worthy career move for Guardiola after today's surprise result…
Pep Guardiola watching this and wondering if Leicester can hire him instead.

…and as the former Barcelona head-coach will ultimately have to grow accustomed to what the English top-flight has to offer next season, there are simply no guarantees that Pep Guardiola will initially succeed at Manchester City straight off the bat…
If anyone think Guardiola will handle this city team and dominate english football, it's time to rethink. EPL ain't no la liga/ bundesliga

So, although Manuel Pellegrini’s side could still theoretically turn things around between now and the end of the 2015/16 campaign, Manchester City’s title hopes have certainly been damaged in light of this weekend’s potential season-defining defeat…
