Let’s face it – despite beginning the 2015/16 campaign under a cloud of great expectation down at Goodison Park this season – Everton fans ultimately haven’t had too much to shout about with their side currently languishing in 14th place right in the here and now…
As modern day Premier League football seemingly waits for no man in its quest to reach bigger and better heights with every passing season these days, must the Goodison Park hierarchy now take matters into their own hands and simply wave goodbye to Roberto Martinez ahead of the upcoming domestic season, or does the 42-year-old Spaniard still have more to give among his current employers?
Toffees fans have certainly begun to have their say on the matter after yet another distinctly uninspiring result this weekend…
In light of how disappointing Everton have ultimately proven so far this season, the subsequent backlash to face the current main man down at Goodison Park arrives with little surprise…
@Everton need a feel good atmosphere to have a chance in the semi, Sack Martinez now and the fans will be well up for it. Time to go Roberto

…even if some fans admittedly remain somewhat short of options when it comes to sourcing a potential new alternative to take over from Martinez this summer…
Just seen someone absolutely slate Martinez and then get asked who they want and they said Pat Nevin ? am going back to bed

The current Everton manager has certainly been criticised from a defensive point of view this season…
38 seconds of playing time between Everton's opener and the equaliser. Martinez 'I never set a team up to keep a clean sheet'. He should

…and as the former Wigan and Swansea boss nonetheless seems to be running out of ideas down at Goodison Park this term…
"Everton being below West Brom in the table is quite frankly, disastrous"

…perhaps his possible departure is becoming more and more inevitable as the poor performances continue to pile up…
Everton are actually 14th. 3 places below last years which was our 'Worst season in 10 years' and people suggest Martinez needs more time.

The once widely admired Spanish tactician has an F.A. Cup semi-final on the horizon to think about this season however…
FA Cup semi-final huge for Everton manager Roberto Martinez – & so it should be. No escaping his poor managerial performance for 2 seasons.
— Phil McNulty (@philmcnulty) 3 April 2016
…which could admittedly serve to cover up some of the major cracks within his current Toffees starting XI…
Has Martinez brainwashed every pundit or something? How can they say that he's doing a good job because Everton play 'good football'
— Tom 'the' Best (@bestyEFC) 10 April 2016
At the end of the day though, Roberto Martinez and Everton simply haven’t covered themselves in much glory this term truth be told…
If Sunderland win Everton are 9 points away from relegation. No faith in Martinez anymore, the man needs to go regardless of if we win a cup
— Dylan (@DylanKirkby) 10 April 2016
…so perhaps the 42-year-old coach has in-fact reached the end of the road at Everton with several well placed options seemingly cropping up on the radar in recent weeks…
IF Everton sack Martinez at the end of the season (and that's a big if), I want someone like Hiddink/Pellegrini. #EFC
