Bournemouth to beat Sheffield Wednesday:

Loyal readers will notice, this isn’t the first time I’ve backed The Cherries to pull off a good result. I really rate their boss Eddie Howe, and the football they play. They’re leaders of the form table, with no losses at home in their last 16. This all translates into Bournemouth being just 2 points off the play offs. The opposition this week, Sheffield Wednesday, have played 12 times since they once won on the road, and in almost a third of away games this season they’ve failed to score. They have kept a clean sheet just 19% of their away games this season. The game won’t be played on paper, but it’ll take a lot from The Owls to get anything out of this one.

Bolton to beat Charlton:

Two big wins against local rivals in their last 2 games has really boosted Bolton’s form. Oddly if you only counted teams away results, then Bolton would be sitting in 11th, 3 places better off than their current position (14th.) This week they come up against strugglers Charlton. They have one of the worst attacks in the football league a averaging well under a goal a game, and won’t be staying in the division much longer if you ask me.  

Rotherham to beat Wolves:

It happens every year. A team gets promoted before the end of the season (e.g. Leicester) They have nothing left to play for, and in their following game they get beat. (e.g. Leicester 1-4 Brighton) Rotherham are one of the form teams in League one and are really pushing for that automatic promotion spot. The Millers attack is one of the most prolific around, failing to score in just 21% of their games. The attack has been spearheaded by Kieran Agard, whose hit the back of the net no less than 17 times this campaign. It won’t be easy but I back Steve Evan’s team to do well.
