Sunday’s Football Accumulator Tips

Southampton to beat Bournemouth

Southampton host Bournemouth this weekend in an eagerly anticipated south coast derby with the two sides in contrasting form. The Saints sit eighth in the table and are unbeaten in four games following a 1-1 draw at Anfield last weekend which they followed up with a League Cup win in midweek. They will keen to convert some of these draws into wins as they look to climb up the table, especially after throwing away a two goal lead to Leicester in their previous home match.

And they should have the quality to do against a struggling Bournemouth side, who look to be suffering after losing a number of key players to injury. The visitors are just two points and one place above the bottom three having lost three of their last four games, picking up just a point in the process. They’ve shipped 10 goals in their last three away games, and were even comprehensively beaten 5-1 by Spurs last week on their own patch. Judging by recent performances; they certainly look up against it again here.

Napoli to beat Genoa

Napoli travel to Genoa as the form side in Serie A and have emerged as real contenders for the Serie A title. They’ve taken maximum points from their last five games, scoring 11 and conceding just two in the process. The visitors have put in some fine performances in victories over Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and Juventus; and should be full of confidence about extending that run after three consecutive clean sheets on their travels.

Genoa find themselves just a couple of places above the relegation zone after a disappointing start to the campaign. They’ve lost half of their 10 matches, and have only recorded three wins; although they have all come at home which should give them confidence. But despite this Napoli remain the worthy favourites; and if the likes of Higuain, Callejon and Insigne can continue their fine run of form they look a good option to get another win this weekend.

Nice to beat Lille

Nice were brought back to earth with a bang last week as they suffered a surprise 3-1 defeat to Ajaccio bring an end to their impressive run of form. The hosts had been scoring for fun prior to that with 17 goals in four games; and will looking to prove it was a just a bad day at the office by getting back to winning ways against Lille. The hosts ran riot in their previous home game as they thrashed Bordeaux 6-1, and the home fans will be hoping for more of the same this weekend.

Lille are yet to win on their travels this season; with four draws and the one defeat, scoring just twice in the process. They sit just three points above the relegation zone with only two wins from their opening 11 games; and are certainly struggling for goals having found the net just six times so far. Their defensive is performing far better, however keeping out a free scoring Nice side could prove too much for them, and at a decent price; the home side are taken to get the three points.
