FC Copenhagen vs Leicester Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

FC Copenhagen vs Leicester predictions and football betting tips for tonight’s Champions League match including a preview of the match and the best odds.

Leicester City will be hoping to continue their 100% record in the Champions League when they travel to Denmark and face Copenhagen on Wednesday night. Here’s two tips for the game live on BT Sport.

Copenhagen have surprised many with their Champions League performances this season and at the halfway stage of the group they still have a good chance of qualifying for the knockout stage. They arguably could have snatched a point when these two sides met two weeks ago at the King Power Stadium. They are currently sitting top of the Danish league after fifteen games and beat one of their league rivals (FC Midtjylland) at the weekend 3-1 away from home and this was an impressive result considering they had a big European game on the horizon. The Champions of England have saved their best performances and results for the Champions League this season and are one win away from qualifying for the knockout stages in their first ever campaign and this would be a remarkable achievement. They haven’t conceded a goal in Europe so far and the Algerian Duo of Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani have saved their best for the Champions League and have looked as good as any partnership so far this season. They warmed up for this match with a 1-1 draw away to Tottenham and would probably take the same result here considering they have nine points on the board already.

Copenhagen vs Leicester City Predictions

My first Copenhagen vs Leicester betting tip is going to be a simple both teams to score bet. This may sound surprising considering that Leicester haven’t conceded this season in Europe but after watching the first game between these two sides I am confident that the Danish side will get on the scoresheet and with Leicester’s talented forward line I expect them to score as well. Odds for both teams to score are 19/20 at Bet365.

My second Copenhagen vs Leicester prediction is going to be for this match to end in a draw. I really can’t split these sides and I think Copenhagen are stronger than most people think especially at home. They battered Club Brugge 4-0 at home and drew away to Porto so this shows that they are no pushovers. Leicester have showed that they are very difficult to beat and I think they would take a point if you offered that to them now so that’s why I think this will end in a draw and odds for that are 23/10 at Betfred.

Copenhagen vs Leicester City Team News

Copenhagen have a couple of ex-football league players in their side. Andreas Cornelius used to play for Cardiff City but has since returned to Denmark and he averages a goal every three games for the Danish Champions and will be hoping to add to that against Claudio Raneri’s men. Jores Okore formally of Aston Villa also plays for Copenhagen but is yet to start a game this season. Leicester will be hoping that Islam Slimani shakes of a knock that kept him out of the weekend draw against Tottenham. Other than that they don’t have any other injury problems and Jamie Vardy will be looking to break his recent drought in front of goal.

Copenhagen vs Leicester City Head to Head

These sides have only met once in competitive action and that was the reverse fixture a couple of weeks ago and Leicester managed to scrape a 1-0 win but as mentioned earlier Copenhagen were very unlucky to not get on the scoresheet.

Copenhagen vs Leicester City Betting Odds

Copenhagen are favourites for this match and are 6/5 to win with most bookies. As mentioned in my predictions the draw is best priced 23/10 at Betfred and if you fancy Leicester to continue with their 100% record in the Champions league then head over to Coral as they are offering 5/2 for a Foxes win. Federico Santander is favourite to score first and is 11/2 with Bet Victor but Ahmed Musa has scored in his last two games and he is 10/1 to open the scoring at William Hill.
