Both teams to score tips for this weekend’s FA Cup coupon non Saturday afternoon where we’ve picked four matches in which we expect a BTTS bet to win.
The FA Cup third round usually throws up some high scoring matches and we’re hoping this weekend is no different for our FA Cup both teams to score tip this weekend.
FA Cup Both Teams to Score Tips
Norwich v Man City BTTS
The FA Cup always produces shocks, and last year Man City were on the end of one after being comprehensively outplayed by Middlesbrough, eventually falling to a 2-0 defeat at the Etihad. Norwich beating Man City would not be on the same scale as that defeat, but given City’s lacklustre performance against Everton in their League Cup semi-final defeat to Everton on Wednesday, I can see Norwich really testing the City defence, especially seeing at the Canaries are playing in front of their own fans. The two teams met back in October and Man City were extremely fortunate to take all three points after a solid defensive performance from Norwich City. A last minute Yaya Toure penalty was the decisive blow in a 2-1 City victory. Alex Neil’s men are currently 15th in the Premier League and I think that the FA Cup will be their time to release the shackles and let loose in their performances. Nobody expects Norwich to come away with the win, so they will go out with no pressure on them, and I feel that this may prove to be the telling factor. This game has a both teams to score bet written all over it.
Wycombe v Aston Villa BTTS
It’s safe to say that, barring a Leicester City-like resurrection, Aston Villa are already preparing for life in the Championship next season. Wycombe, on the other hand, are pushing for promotion from League Two, currently occupying sixth place. The confidence in both sides are completely contrasting, and as we’ve seen over the years, confidence usually has a massive bearing on the outcome of FA Cup ties likes this. Villa certainly should have the quality on paper to beat Wycombe, but Wanderers will smell blood, and I can see this being a rip-roaring clash and a winner on my BTTS tip. Furthermore, being the early kick-off and live on BT Sport, the Wycombe players will know that all eyes are on them and I think they will give everything to get the win. Villa haven’t exactly been free scoring this season, but they should notch against a League Two side, but I can see it being a very uncomfortable afternoon for Villa’s backline too. Definitely stick this one on your FA Cup BTTS acca!
Birmingham v Bournemouth BTTS
If their results in the Championship last year are anything to go by, Birmingham v Bournemouth should be an absolute barnstormer. Eddie Howe’s side absolutely battered Birmingham 8-0 at St Andrews in October 2014 and followed this up with a 4-2 victory in the home tie in April 2015. Given that Bournemouth earned promotion last season, they will obviously go into the match as favourites, but Birmingham are playing well in the Championship, with three wins on the bounce, and pushing for the promotion places, currently occupying eighth place. The players that suffered the 8-0 demolition will have a point to prove, and I simply cannot see Birmingham sitting back in this match. Bournemouth have been performing well, despite being 16th placed, and their strikers definitely have the confidence to put a few past Birmingham too. This one is a must for your FA Cup BTTS accumulator.
Eastleigh v Bolton BTTS
Bolton are rock bottom of the Championship and I doubt many of their players will be looking forward to travelling to Conference Premier outfit Eastleigh. Eastleigh on currently in fourth place in the table and pushing for automatic promotion. Given their confidence, coupled with Bolton’s abject performances, this clash has the makings of an epic FA Cup upset. Eastleigh have the home advantage and I can see this playing right into their hands. Bolton haven’t got a great scoring record in the Championship this season, but they seriously should be at least troubling the scorers against a non-League side. Nailed on BTTS FA Cup tie to complete this weekend’s football tip.
