Another frustrating round of fixtures again last week as were eight from nine came in, the let-down being Chelsea of all teams. This week we have a solid eight to go far so let’s get to it.

Elche v Atlético Madrid

Atlético Madrid travel to lowly Elche on Saturday afternoon looking to keep their good run of form going. They have won five of their last six and have climbed to third in the table. AS Roma v Sassuolo

Roma have won seven from seven and that should be eight from eight despite Sassuolo’s current good form. The away side are undefeated in seven and will come into this with confidence however they haven’t faced a side as good as Roma away from home. The hosts average 2.57 goals per game and should win by at least one in this.

Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen

It should be a good game this as first play third on Saturday evening. The hosts get the nod as they are the best team in Europe, have a 100% record at home and have conceded just three goals all season. Home win.

Manchester City v Everton

There used to be a time when Everton were regarded as City’s bogey team as prior to last season they had only won six in 22 against the toffees. However last term they went someway to getting rid of the monkey on their back with two victories and they are taken to make that three from three. They come into this sitting second in the league despite not playing brilliantly. Everton have only beaten Burnley and West Brom away from home this season and their away day woes are set to continue this Saturday evening.

Real Madrid v Celta Vigo

A resounding Real romp.

Napoli v Empoli

Napoli are now unbeaten in 10 games in Serie A and have climbed to third in the league. They have already claimed the scalp of Roma at home and this week they play midtable Empoli. The visitors tend to draw on the road but with Napoli keen to chase down Roma in second and keep their grip on third we’ll take Partenopei to take all three points.

Barcelona v Espanyol

The Catalan derby is the last game in our acca and unsurprisingly Barça get the nod. In the last five derby matches at Camp Nou Barça have won all five, scored 12 and conceded none.
