Whilst his side have already booked their place among the semi-finals of Euro 2016 this summer, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t exactly set the international scene alight as of yet it must be said. Despite putting in a solid two-goal performance against Hungary earlier on in the group-stages, his efforts have still seemingly left Portuguese fans asking for more within the grand scheme of things.
Although the former Manchester United man remains well within the hunt for some extended silverware with Portugal this season…
Ronaldo, Pepe, Kroos & Bale are the only players that still have the chance to win both big European trophies in one year: #UCL & #EURO2016

…several tournament watchers have nonetheless seen fit to criticise the notorious 31-year-old after a string of rather ineffectual performances with his nation at Euro 2016…
Portugal have been very poor at #Euro2016 and Ronaldo has been particularly unpleasant, ungracious, undignified.Disappointed Poland are out.

Many have simply failed to be impressed by Ronaldo this summer one way or another…
Ronaldo has played so poor throughout the euro 2016. He better improve or there will be no future for him in the national team. #EURO2016

…leaving some to once again question the Real Madrid superstar's overall team ethic when all is said and done…
Ronaldo Is World Class No Doubt .. But He's So Greedy It's Beyond Belief – He's All About Self Success #PORPOL #POR #Ronaldo #EURO2016

His prowess as an important team-player has seemingly always been called into question in the cold light of day…
Cristiano Ronaldo most definitely only has a B button on his controller #Greedy #CR7 #Euro2016 #Por

…even if Ronaldo is indeed expected to step up when international duty once again resumes for the Portuguese forward at Euro 2016…
Portugal to win this now Ronaldo got to come good sooner or later #EURO2016

So then, whilst everything is still to play for among the Portuguese national team this summer…
Ronaldo only needs to step up for 2 games and could win the Euros. Tears in my eyes.

…Cristiano Ronaldo must arguably come good for his nation before it's too late. Based on his prior domestic form however, it would certainly take a brave man to outwardly write the Real Madrid star off right in the here and now!
