With the first game of Euro 2016 about to kick-off in just under a month’s time, we’ve decided to take a closer look at what Group E really has to offer among the upcoming competition this summer, starting off with the traditionally successful international outfit that is the Azzurri of Italy…
Chances of success:
Even though the Italians do in-fact represent something close to wounded beasts upon the international scene right in the here and now, especially after a less than successful stint in Brazil two summers ago, Antonio Conte’s team seemingly can’t be counted out until the fat lady sings at Euro 2016 this summer.
The future Chelsea manager will surely want to impress his upcoming bosses at Stamford Bridge by igniting some renewed fortunes with Italy at Euro 2016, regardless of the Azzurri’s relatively recent lack of influence in major international tournaments.
Italy will therefore view this summer’s upcoming competition as the perfect chance to re-stake their once dominant nature upon the European footballing circuit, which could ultimately result in Antonio Conte’s determined outfit genuinely going all the way at Euro 2016 when all is said and done.
Ones to watch:
The no-nonsense Italian national treasure that is Gianluigi Buffon, will probably prove a vital component for Conte at Euro 2016 with the likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci likely managing the back-line for Italy in predictably resilient style.
Antonio Conte nonetheless faces somewhat of a striking crisis right in the here and now of course, so whilst each of Simone Zaza, Graziano Pelle and Eder will surely do their best to put things straight for the Italians at this summer’s much awaited competition, PSG’s Marco Verratti could once again prove the major shining light for Italy whilst working his quick-footed magic in the middle of the park.
From the dug-out:
The soon-to-be Chelsea boss will seemingly arrive at Euro 2016 with a wealth of managerial experience at club level locked firmly under his belt. His most recent spell with Juventus should still resonate well within the Italian national set-up, especially as Conte is often credited for employing somewhat of an attacking approach in daring situations.
Roman Abramovich clearly doesn’t select just anyone for the job at Stamford Bridge with all things fairly considered of course – so even though Italy don’t quite represent out-in-out tournament favourites in the cold light of day – expect big things from Antonio Conte’s passionate nature one way or another this summer.
Italy’s Euro 2016 predictions:
Whilst the likes of Germany, France and Spain will likely go down as the three most promising outfits on offer at Euro 2016 this summer, Italy certainly can’t be discounted at this particularly early stage in the proceedings.
A selection of bold punters out there could admittedly see fit to back Antonio Conte’s outfit to really do the business at Euro 2016 however, for the relevant betting tips surrounding their overall chances still nonetheless hold Italy in rather strong stead with the highly anticipated competition kicking off in just under a month’s time.
Italy have the necessary know-how, gamesmanship, camaraderie and all-round talent to impress at Euro 2016 this summer if we’re all being honest, even if the Azzurri have nonetheless failed to set the international scene alight since their triumphant efforts at the 2006 World Cup in Germany nearly ten years ago…
