After successfully seeing off major relegation rivals Newcastle United last time out in the English top-flight, Alex Neil and the loyal Carrow Road faithful now have every reason to expect some renewed fortunes in and around their club for the remainder of the 2015/16 season.
Dieumerci Mbokani certainly helped his current side strive one step closer to Premier League survival with a well taken goal this weekend – and as Rafa Benitez’ Magpies looked almost totally void of attacking intent in the cold light of day – perhaps the so-called impossible is now well and truly on for the determined Canaries.
So then, in light of such a captivating and hard-earned match winning display in their most recent league fixture, does the future now look a whole lot brighter for Norwich City and their fans?
Well, on the back of the Canaries most recent win against Newcastle United in the midst of this year’s increasingly enticing relegation dog-fight, many Premier League onlookers have now subsequently backed Norwich to survive…
Newcastle and Sunderland are going down. Norwich will survive

…and perhaps for good reason too…
Clearly #norwich have the fight and passion to survive and today's performance proved that!!

The current main man down in the Canaries dug-out has nonetheless received a great deal of praise for his side’s recent performances among the English top-flight…
Feel a bit for Newcastle, but what a battle from Norwich. Credit has to go to Alex Neil – mad that he was still playing only 1 1/2 years ago
— Dan(k Memes) (@ItWasJustDanter) 2 April 2016
…and as the 2015/16 domestic campaign is admittedly reaching its latter stages right in the here and now, maybe Norwich City look set to end the current season on a distinct high after all…
Norwich don't usually get what they deserve when in a relegation battle. Got to keep it going now #ncfc

…yet as some have recently taken offence to the recent goal celebrations down at Carrow Road this weekend, not every Premier League fan seemingly wants Alex Neil’s determined outfit to survive this season…
Norwich deserve to go down purely on those stupid paper things and playing goal music
— Danny Riordan (@DannyRiordan_) 2 April 2016
Spare a thought for the several Newcastle fans who made it all the way down to Norwich this weekend however…
Thats it for newcastle now, they are gone.
— Stef (@Stef_whufc) 2 April 2016
…for it seems as if the Magpies aren’t particularly worthy of their current place among the English top-flight truth be told…
Newcastle look awful defensively…gave themselves a mammoth task now to climb out of this mess. #NUFC

In the end though, the Carrow Road faithful have every reason to remain optimistic right in the here and now, and if their side can offer one final push amidst this season’s ever captivating relegation battle, the future does in-fact seem somewhat promising for Alex Neil and the persistent Norwich fans!
