Crystal Palace v Fulham Man of the Match Betting Tips

A relegation showdown between Crystal Palace and Fulham is this weeks Monday night football, and we have free man of the match betting tips.

The match should be an exciting affair, with both managers’ jobs under pressure. In the harsh reality of the Premier League Martin Jol could potentially be sacked if his side lose for the fifth time this season.

And I think they will. Fulham have looked uninspiring this year, often pining for the brilliance of Dimitar Berbatov to save them- but he looks way past his best. Jol might be better depending on Darren Bent and Bryan Ruiz, but both are inconsistent.

Palace, on the other hand, are more of a collective unit, and in Mile Jedinak they have a true leader in the heart of midfield. Rightfully so the Australian tops the man of the match market at 8/1, which is still great value.

He is Palace’s beacon of hope for survival this year, putting in performances that wouldn’t look out of place in a top four team. His ability to break play up is essential for a relegation scrap and he will definitely be winning many man of the match awards as the season progresses.

I also like the look of Jason Puncheon at 14/1 as he never shy’s from a match, always on the move and looking to get on the ball.  He puts 100 per cent into every match and is Palace’s main attacking threat.

From a Fulham perspective it has to be an attacking player, as Sky Sports are likely to talk them up as favourites. Patjim Kasami has the credentials of a man of the match candidate, but I’m not sure he will do enough to win it. Other potential winners include Darren Bent and Dimitar Berbatov, but my tip is Bryan Ruiz at 14/1.

He will add a touch of class to this match and on his day is unplayable. If he has a bad day then Fulham could be in trouble, so make sure to get him covered.
