When it comes to signing big name injury-prone strikers from Liverpool, in the slim hope that they may one day step in and turn things dramatically around in the goal-scoring department down in the East-End – West Ham are a club who have certainly had their hands burnt in the past.
Just ask Andy Carroll. The Hammers hierarchy are still paying out for that particular gamble without seeing much bang for their buck – but even though West Ham must now theoretically employ a rather cautious approach when it comes to getting those big money transfers signed, sealed and delivered over the dotted line – such a notion has seemingly failed to deter the Hammers board from turning their nose up at Daniel Sturridge this January.
Whilst this particular deal does in-fact feel a little unrealistic on the surface…
Why do West Ham fans think Sturridge will join them in January… wake up ???

…some West Ham fans seem to be warming to the idea more and more as the January transfer window approaches…
I honestly think if we went in with a decent offer for Sturridge he would come to us. First choice, decent wage I think he would #WHUFC ⚒

The Hammers’ upcoming January transfer plans have come as somewhat of a surprise to some…
Daniel Sturridge to West Ham?
Personally can't see it happening. He's far too good for us. Would be such a mint signing though. #WHUFC.

…but as West Ham have been crying out for someone to put the ball in the back of the net recently…
Will never happen but Sturridge is the kind of striker we desperately need at West Ham.

…maybe such an ambitious move could be on the cards after all…
I've been hearing rumors of Daniel Sturridge going to West Ham, that would be amazing.

Many determined Liverpool fans wouldn't want to see him gone of course…
Sturridge entertaining the idea of signing for West Ham or Stoke is laughable, as is the thought of LFC selling him for less than Benteke.

…but as long as West Ham’s current strike-force continue to flounder in-front of goal…

…the Hammers will likely remain very interested in Daniel Sturridge with the January transfer window soon on its way…
Sturridge will end up in a bidding war one day between Spurs & West Ham in a few years.. He's desperate for a London move always has been
