The last fixture of this weekend’s Premier League opening weekend takes place tonight when rivals Chelsea and West Ham play at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will want to put last season behind them while West Ham will look to build on a strong season as they start life at their new stadium.

Chelsea have had a quiet transfer window with N’Golo Kante being the only notable signing but they are still being linked with a number of players including Everton’s Romelu Lukaku. Diego Costa is still a Chelsea player despite strong links with a return to Atletico Madrid. Their pre-season has seen them win four of their six games and notably they have scored plenty of goals including two against Real Madrid and three most recently against AC Milan then four against Werder Bremen.
West Ham
The Hammers have had a mixed summer, combining pre-season friendlies and Europa League qualifying. They lost 3-2 against Juventus most recently and needed a second leg recovery to beat Domzale in the Europa League qualifying.
