Chelsea v Newcastle Betting Tip

Both teams to score

Whilst Chelsea remain relatively inconsistent in the league, they have been slowly finding their feet in what has been a tumultuous campaign for their players and supporters alike. The game against Newcastle doesn’t immediately scream ‘Both Teams to Score’ on the surface, but looking at the statistics, and given the general feel around Stamford Bridge, I think this game may surprise a lot of people. Chelsea have played out five consecutive BTTS winners at Stamford Bridge, including a hugely entertaining 3-3 draw with Everton, as well as a double of 2-2 draws with West Brom and Watford. After a resurgence in their form, Newcastle have seemingly gone off the boil slightly in recent weeks, but I feel that a trip to West London to face the soon-to-be dethroned Champions may well be the tonic the Toon need to jolt them back into life. Whilst the results have improved for Chelsea, their defensive performances still leave a lot to be desired, and I think we should be in for a hugely entertaining clash when a lively and unpredictable Newcastle go up against an uncertain and erratic Chelsea team on Saturday evening.

Rochdale v Millwall Betting Tip

Both teams to score

Rochdale are probably one of the most inconsistent teams in League One, but one statistic that isn’t inconsistent is their poor defensive record. The Dale have been conceding goals left, right and centre recently, including a 6-1 away defeat to Barnsley a few weeks back. Despite their atrocious defending, Rochdale’s scoring record is almost as consistent as their leaky defence, managing to score in eight of their last nine League fixtures. Millwall are lying in sixth place in League One, and five of their last six League matches have ended as BTTS winners. Given Rochdale’s poor defensive record, coupled with Millwall’s fine attacking form, I would definitely expect The Lions to get on the scoresheet. However, Millwall have also conceded in each of their last 13 games away from The Den, and I’m sure Rochdale will capitalise on this and give us another wining selection for this weekend’s football tip.

Morecambe v Oxford Betting Tip

Both teams to score

Morecambe have been a mainstay in my BTTS acca tips in recent weeks, and for good reason. They have now played out seven consecutive BTTS winners and are showing no signs of stopping. 16th placed Morecambe come up against an Oxford side lying third in the table and gunning for automatic promotion, but I doubt that the gap between the two teams will have much bearing on the outcome. The Shrimps haven’t failed to score in their last 13 League matches, and given that Oxford have conceded two goals in three of their last four League fixtures, I think it’s safe to say that Morecambe will find the net. Also, Oxford have only failed to score in 2 of their last 20 League matches, and this tie is all set up to be a high scoring winner on Saturday’s BTTS accumulator tip.

Stevenage v Cambridge United Betting Tip

Both teams to score

11 of Stevenage’s last 13 League matches have ended with both teams finding the net, and this statistic bodes very well for the visit of tenth placed Cambridge United. The U’s have scored five in their last three away from the Abbey stadium, with two of these three ties ending as BTTS tip winners. Along with their fantastic scoring record, Stevenage also have a quite appalling defensive record, and this is summed up in their League position, occupying 19th place in League Two. Borough have only kept two clean sheets at home in their last 13 League fixtures, and I think that when Cambridge come to town, we should be in for another high scoring occasion.
