Both Teams to Score Betting Tips
Swansea vs. Man City – BTTS Yes
Swansea grabbed a miraculous victory against Arsenal on Monday and should Southampton and Spurs slip up on Saturday, Gary Monk’s mean may be able to leapfrog them into sixth place! Man City, however, are looking to grab second place from under the nose of Arsene Wenger’s men and there are incentives for both teams to go all out for the victory in this match. No matter how Swansea perform in this one, they have had a fantastic season and come into the game under no pressure whatsoever. City have conceded in eight of their last nine away games and have looked a vulnerable team away from The Etihad. They have succumbed to the pressure of retaining the title and look a shadow of their former selves this season. However, they are challenging for second place, and Sergio Aguero is gunning for the golden boot. Swansea will not roll over, and showed against Arsenal that they have the firepower to score against the very best defences.
Man United vs. Arsenal – BTTS Yes
Both United and Arsenal are virtually guaranteed Champions League football next season thanks to their league positioning and I feel that this match will have a slight air of celebration about it. United have not enjoyed the best of runs lately, and since falling at the hands of Chelsea in an extremely tight game, they just haven’t looked the same force that trounced Spurs, Liverpool and Man City. However, I think that the prospect of playing the final two games with virtually no pressure on them will do United a world of good and give us a winning weekend football tip for BTTS here. Arsenal lost to Swansea on Monday and this has left the door open for Man City to claim second place. If Arsenal lose to United then they will go a point above the Gunners, at least until Wenger’s men play their game in hand against a scrappy Sunderland side. Both teams have extremely good scoring records, and when United have faced the bigger teams at home this season, there are always numerous chances for both teams. Arsenal have scored in their past 7 away games and last time they played at Old Trafford, former United striker Danny Welbeck stole the show as Arsenal ended United’s FA Cup run with a 2-1 victory. This one should be a cracker!
Rangers vs. Queen of the South – BTTS Yes
Rangers kept just four clean sheets from their 18 home league games this season and they face Queen of the South in the second leg of their semi-final playoff after notching an impressive 2-1 win away from home. Rangers do have an impressive scoring record, failing to notch just five times throughout the entire league season. Despite losing the first leg of their playoff, Queen of the South have enjoyed good results in the league against Rangers, notching two wins, a draw and a single defeat. For these reasons I feel that the game will be tightly contested, much like the first leg, and I expect that both teams will register on the score sheet again.
Bristol Rovers vs. Grimsby – BTTS No
Wembley hosts Bristol Rovers and Grimsby as second and third in the Conference battle it out to make it back into the Football League. The two teams have the best defensive records in the league by some way, with the Mariners conceding 40 and Rovers letting in just 34 from their 46 games. Grimsby did not manage to score against Bristol at home or away this season and Rovers will start the match as slight favourites. In 180 minutes of league football between the two sides just 1 goal was scored, and I feel that with the weight of expectation on both sides, neither side will want to give an inch in the final. I expect this to be an extremely tight and defensive game with the odd goal being enough to snatch victory. I wouldn’t be surprised if it finished 0-0 and goes into extra time. I’d be very surprised if both teams manage to score in normal time.
