Wales v Belgium

In their last meeting in November the Czechs won with a 2-1 victory over Lars Lagerbäck’s men and I expect both teams to score in this one as well. Iceland have been the surprise package so far in qualifying and even managed a reasonably comfortable 2-0 victory over Holland. Scoring does not seem to be a problem for them, not failing to notch for 11 games. The Czechs will prove tough opposition, but with home advantage I expect Iceland to set the initiative, but the Czech Republic definitely have enough quality to nick at least a score-draw out of the match.

 

Croatia v Italy

Croatia have been banging in the goals recently, thrashing Azerbaijan 6-0 and demolishing Group H whipping boys Gibraltar by four goals to nil. They also managed a highly impressive 5-1 demolition against Norway in March that saw their goal tally improve significantly. Historically Italy were a team that rarely conceded and prided themselves on a tight defence, however they have already conceded two to Bulgaria and even somehow managed to concede at home to part-timers Azerbaijan. Croatia’s record of 15 goals from their five games indicates that they have enough quality to notch at least a goal against a stuttering Italian defence. However, Italy desperately need the three points that would take them to the top of the group, and therefore I expect them to go out on the attack. Their goal scoring tally is less impressive than Niko Kovač’s men, but I do expect this game be another for our both teams to score betting tip in Friday’s Euro 2016 qualifying matches.
