Chelsea v Southampton

For the neutral, Chelsea are a delight to watch. Not because they are attractive to watch, not because they possess admirable team ethic. Bristol City v MK Dons

Two Championship new boys go head to head on Saturday, and both teams cannot stop shipping the goals. The Dons have conceded 15 in their last five, whilst City have let in 11 in five. Despite being hilarious in defence, both teams have decent scoring records, each notching in four out of their last five. City are bottom of the table, and MK sit just one point above them with seven from their opening nine Championship games. Both clubs know that a win is essential, and given that neither team can defend, there are sure to be goals at both ends. Mistakes will be abundant and I can see this one being a very high scorer indeed.

 

QPR v Bolton

The R’s suffered a particularly dismal 4-0 defeat to the hands of Fulham last Friday, and from watching the match it’s pretty obvious that they need to improve in defence if they want to challenge for promotion. Rangers currently sit in 13th place and are eight points off the automatic promotion places. Bolton are another ex-Premier League team finding life in the Championship a real struggle. They haven’t really performed well in the second tier for years now and are one of those teams that you feel might just maintain their decline. Wanderers sit in 21st place with just eight points from their nine games. Despite both team’s atrocious form, I just can’t see this game ending with either side keeping a clean sheet. Bolton are in the worse form out of the two clubs, but QPR’s defending on Friday night was simply appalling.  I think this one will be a defensively shoddy score draw.
