Picking out accumulator tips can prove hard on the opening day of the season, as there is no real form to sift through, apart from the tedious pre-season friendlies. Teams have moved up and down the leagues across the divisions and so you have newly promoted teams desperate to prove their worth. There are also the demoted clubs who want to bounce straight back to the league above. So for this both teams to score betting tip I have decided to be strategic and pick one match from each league and for the fourth match I have gone for a standout fixture.
Saturday’s Both Teams To Score Betting Tip
Wigan vs Reading
First up we go straight to the Championship. Wigan are many peoples tips for promotion this season, and after last seasons post Christmas form and with Uwe Rosler at the helm, it seems hard to argue against them. Reading on the other hand are not usually goal shy and were involved in many BTTS matches last season.
Barnsley vs Crawley
We go into League 1 for the second match and it features a demoted team in Barnsley who will be determined to put last seasons misery behind them. While unsure on their promotion chances, they should be capable to score at home on the opening day. Crawley started well last season and scored six goals in their first two matches so I expect goals here.
Leyton Orient vs Chesterfield
Sticking with League 1 and this is the standout fixture. Chesterfield were promoted weeks before the campaign ended and were the deserving winners of League 2. They were the leagues highest scorers and away from home they scored as regularly as they conceded. Leyton Orient had a successful season, narrowly missing out on promotion, drawing in the final 2-2 before losing on penalties.
Oxford vs Burton
The final selection comes from League 2 and these two teams enjoyed a good start and finish last season as Oxford finished 8th and Burton finished 6th. Both teams conceded almost just as many as they scored both home and away, so I expect this one to end in a goal rush as these two get their seasons underway.
