BTTS and win tips this weekend

Both Teams to Score and Win Tips

Rotherham v Charlton Tip

Rotherham to win and BTTS

Due to the unpredictable nature of the FA Cup, we're going to stick to league games this week. Our first selection on the BTTS win tip comes from The Championship as Rotherham entertain Charlton at 3pm. Both of these sides are struggling at the bottom of the table and this weekend's clash certainly has the air of the proverbial six-pointer about it. The hosts are currently one point out of the relegation zone at present, but have won three of their last four matches at home beating the likes of league leaders Hull and fourth-placed Brighton along the way. Their opponents Charlton actually started the season positively, but have since crashed down the table like a sack of spuds. The Addicks have now gone eleven games without a win and have only managed six points from fourteen away matches all campaign. To compound matters, they have also lost 5-0 and 6-0 in their last two games on the road and this has sent their goal difference to an eye-watering -32. Although Charlton's goal record is not encouraging, Rotherham do have the second worst defence in The Championship behind the visitors, and also the third highest ratio for BTTS encounters. The corresponding fixture at The Valley finished 1-1 earlier in the season, but I expect Rotherham to take it one step further this weekend.

Coventry v Scunthorpe Tip

Coventry to win and BTTS

Our second choice for the football tip this weekend comes from League One as Coventry take on Scunthorpe at The Ricoh Arena. The Sky Blues' promotion push as hit the skids somewhat in recent weeks after dropping points to three of their main rivals at the top of the table. Nevertheless, Coventry still remain strong on their own patch this season and currently have the third best home record in the whole division. As well has this, Tony Mowbray's side are also the third highest scorers in the league with a highly impressive 47 goals and have recorded several BTTS wins already this season. Opponents Scunthorpe are in a real mixed run of form and are really struggling for any consistency this season. Although, they did beat Colchester last time out, scoring three goals against the worst defence in the entire football league is nothing to brag about. However, Scunny do have a very impressive record for BTTS matches on their travels this season, though, with 69% of their games finishing via this outcome. Coventry desperately need to get their promotion aspirations back on track, and I can see them doing so this weekend.

Plymouth v Wycombe Tip

Plymouth to win and BTTS

Once again, we're dropping down a division to League Two as high-flying Plymouth take on Wycombe at Home Park. Argyle have really kicked on from an decent campaign last year and now look odds on favourites to be one of the promoted teams at the end of the season. The Pilgrims have been excellent both home and away so far this term, and this fine form has rewarded them with the second place in the League Two table. Wycombe certainly haven't hit the heights of last season and are also in a poor run of form at present. Gareth Ainsworth's men have lost their last three games on the bounce, and this has seen Wanderers drop to tenth place in the league standings. Plymouth have already recorded no fewer than nine BTTS wins already this season and one of these was a 2-1 victory against Wycombe at Adams Park a few months ago. I'm backing them to make in number ten this weekend and hopefully round things off nicely for our BTTS bet in the process.
