Are Arsenal fans in for another season of disappointment at the Emirates?

Let’s face it – although Arsenal can certainly draw positives from the odd F.A. Cup win here and there, as well as their consistent ability to land Champions League qualification year in year out – most Gunners fans seemingly remain disappointed with their club’s recent lack of pedigree when it comes to bringing the Premier League title back to North London, and triumphantly claiming it for themselves.

Arsenal’s opening game of the season subsequently ended in sheer frustration for those at the Emirates who were there to cheer on their side against a rather threatening Liverpool outfit. Arsene Wenger’s team looked a little toothless in attack for large parts of the match, there seemed to be a continued lack of leadership running through the heart of Arsenal’s first team ranks out there, whilst the entire Gunners’ back-line looked far from satisfactory when push eventually turned to shove.

The main problem surrounding most Arsenal fans at the minute, seems to be the club’s distinct lack of progress on the transfer front so far this summer…

Although Switzerland’s Granit Xhaka certainly looks like he’ll prove a rather decent acquisition in due time…

…the Gunners arguably remain somewhat worse for wear across many aspects of Wenger’s chosen starting XI…

…and it certainly showed for large parts of their opening game defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool…

Some are seemingly in agreement over Wenger’s continued presence down among the Emirates dug-out for the 2016/17 campaign…

…but as is usually the case for Arsenal fans across the modern era, not every Gunners supporter seems to find themselves in the same boat regarding the fate of their current manager…

So then, although now is clearly no time to panic down at the Emirates ahead of a long and potentially gruelling Premier League campaign…

…perhaps the early warning signs have already made their mark on Arsenal’s future prospects among the English top-flight this season…
