Everton to beat Blackburn 4/5: Everton travel to Blackburn on Saturday hoping to build on last week’s win in the North West when they overcame Accrington Stanley 4-1. Despite the lower class opposition, Everton were superb in that match. Mirallas and Fellaini having particularly good games.  Blackburn have already played five friendlies, winning two and drawing three but none against opposition as strong as Everton. Everton’s quality should shine through here and if their top players are at their best they should easily beat Rovers.

Bayer Leverkusen to beat Vitesse Evens: the next side who look good for a win this weekend are Bayer Leverkusen. They go in to their clash with Vitesse off the back of a good win against Udinese and should be full of confidence. Leverkusen’s team is much stronger than their Dutch opponents and at their best should have no problem dismissing a team who recently sold their best player to Swansea.

Dundee to beat Alloa 10/11:  The curtain rises on the Scottish Football League this weekend with the League Cup. Dundee fell out of the SPL last season and will be looking to get off to a fine start against Alloa. Form suggests they are a good price here, winning three away games easily in pre-season and they won two of their last three in the SPL before relegation. The quality of being in the top flight last year and wanting to start well back at this level should see Dundee through against an Alloa side who were promoted from the third tier last season via the play-offs.

PSG and Real Madrid to Draw 9/4: Two of the super rich super clubs of European football go head to head in an attractive looking fixture on Saturday night. Cavani, Ibrahimovic and co take on Ronaldo, Ozil and co in a great pre-season clash.  Madrid’s pre season so far has seen them thrash Bournemouth 6-0 and draw 2-2 with Lyon while PSG have won two and lost one of their fixtures. The talent on show here for me will make it a good clash but I think with PSG at home they should even each other out and a draw is on the cards.
