Southampton haven’t exactly set the world on fire so far this season but 4 points from their last two games is a solid bit of form and the Koeman era has got underway decent enough. They host a Newcastle side who have drawn back to back matches but pressure is mounting on manager Alan Pardew from the fans. They have won just one of their last 11 Premier League games and have lost 5 of their last 6 away. Southampton won this fixture 4-0 last season and have won both meetings at St Mary’s between the two in recent years.

Blackburn to Beat Wigan 11/8:

Both of these sides sit firmly in mid-table at the start of the Championship season but aren’t far off the Play-Off Spots. Both teams have two wins, two defeats and a draw so far this season but it’s the home and away form that make Blackburn the side to back. Blackburn have faced two tricky home ties so far this season against Cardiff and Bournemouth and have picked up a solid 4 points and are unbeaten in 8 games at home. Wigan have lost both of their away games so far this season to Charlton and Cardiff and have won just one of their last 8 away in the Championship. The two sides met at Ewood Park at the back end of last season and Blackburn won 4-3, Blackburn’s good home form should see them to another win here.

Wolves to Beat Blackpool 5/6:

They have lost just once so far this season and another home win can take them as high as 3^rd. Scunthorpe are really struggling with 6 games on the board and are in the relegation zone at present. They have picked up just a single win so far this season and that against a Walsall side also in the relegation zone. 3 away games have retuned just a single point and a trip to Chesterfield could spell another long afternoon.

Peterborough to Beat Notts County 4/6:

Life is looking pretty good for Peterborough right now with 5 wins from 6 matches so far this season and it could finally be their year to get out of League One. They have been impressive so far this season despite selling top players in the summer, the likes of new boy Marcus Maddison have filled the gap brilliantly. Notts County are in mid-table at present after their start to the season and have 7 points. They may be yet to lose on the road but Posh will provide a massive test and one I fear County will fail.
