Everton to beat Arsenal 1:30pm

I don't think people actually realise what a fortress Goodison Park is. Everton have won 11 of 15 home games this season with their only defeat coming at home to Sunderland in strange circumstances when they had a player sent off & conceded a penalty very early on. Looking back further they have been defeated only twice in their last 40 games at Goodison in the Premier League. They face Arsenal on Sunday in a huge match for the race for the 4th Champions League place. Everton have also won 5 in a row in the league and seem to be peaking at the right time. Arsenal are seemingly having their late season wobble, but were impressive against Man City last week. They have a solid away record but have been hammered when facing the top teams away so will want to put that right. Everton are the value for me.

Lyon to beat Valenciennes 4:00pm

Lyon travel to relegation-threatened Valenciennes on Sunday and look good value to come away with the 3 points. They are in excellent form away from home, winning 5 of their last 7, which is in stark contrast to their opponents home record this season. Valenciennes have won just 4 at home and lost to bottom of the table Ajaccio last time out. They are 5 points from safety and home matches can be difficult, nervy affairs for sides struggling at this stage of the season. I fancy lyon to take advantage of this and continue their strong away form.

Hoffenheim to win at Hertha

Anyone who reads this column will know I'm a big fan of Hoffenheim. They are incredibly entertaining and have the ability to score against anyone, proven when they scored 3 against Bayern at the Allianz Arena last week. They have scored an incredible 63 goals in 28 league games so far, but unfortunately they are just as prolific in conceding goals. They have picked up 4 points in recent trips to Leverkusen and Munich and I feel they can cause Hertha big problems on Sunday. The home team are in a slump, they have lost 4 in a row overall and 4/5 at home including to the likes of Nurnberg and Hannover. They are heavily on reliant on striker Adrian Ramos for goals and already look like they are winding down to the end of the season. At 2/1, I think Hoffenheim are cracking value and for the more adventurous I like them in the BTTS & win market.
