West Brom vs Everton Betting Tips for Man of the Match

Pepe Mel faces a difficult task in his first match as manager of West Brom with highflying Everton the visitors at the Hawthorn’s, and we have picked out a few Man of the Match candidates.

Mel will have had little time to input his tiki-taka style on his new players and his first team selection will be an interesting one.  Saido Berahino stands out as the sort of player that will thrive under new tutelage, with many fans questioning his lack of game time under Steve Clarke.

With Shane Long sold to Hull City, there is a chance for one of Berahino or Matej Vydra to tie down a starting spot. The latter would be an interesting choice from a MOTM perspective as he is a big 20/1 shot.

For Everton all roads point to one man- Romelu Lukaku. With Nikica Jelavic sold the Belgian is now Everton’s only real striking option.  Also, Ross Barkley is injured and his replacement Leon Osman isn’t as penetrative as the youngster, so Roberto Martinez will be hoping Lukaku emerges from his mini-slump.

Also, let’s not forget Lukaku spent last season on loan at the Baggies and their fans will still be disappointed he turned them down to join Everton this season. It would be typical for him to turn on a massive performance and despite being a little short at 13/2 (Betfred) he has to be the main play for this match.

Another focal point for this match will surely be Everton’s full backs. Leighton Baines is back and Seamus Coleman is turning in incredible performances week in week out. At 11/1 and 16/1 shots for MOTM they could well be worth covering.
