Chelsea v Man City betting tips: Sunday’s marquee game sees the two teams that have been talked about most as potential champions square up at Stamford Bridge and we have free football betting tips for Sunday.

It will be a real grudge match between Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini, who have had plenty to say about each other during their time in Spain, and no renew acquaintances in England.

Of course we often see a lot of negativity in these types of summit games, with both teams playing for the draw and not risking anything to try and grab three points.  While a stalemate is at 5/2, I just think that Chelsea are on a nice run of form and this is their chance to make a statement.  When they played Manchester Utd in August, they were a little too cautious and I reckon that Mourinho will realise that they can do better. 

The City defence looks vulnerable with Vincent Kompany missing, as well as the team having to recover from a long trip to Russia during the week.  Chelsea have scored more goals than anyone in the last 15 minutes of games too, and I think they’ll wear City down to find a winner.

So with that said, I’m looking at a narrow Chelsea victory, which I believe could include a clean sheet.  A 1-0 Chelsea win can be had at 10/1, and a half time draw/full time Chelsea win is at 5/1 with Bet Victor.

In a tight game like this, I can’t see the strikers getting free too many times, and it will take a moment of magic from a deeper lying player to decide the game.  Both teams have these types of players in abundance, such as Mata, Silva or Hazard, but I can see Frank Lampard finding space and pulling something out of the top drawer, and with him taking penalties and free kicks as well, I think he’s good value as an any time goalscorer at 5/1.  Of course, if the game goes how I think it will, he’ll score the first and only goal, and a little punt on the England man as First Goalscorer at 12/1 may work out very nicely indeed.
