AC Milan to beat Celtic 8/15:

Milan have made a slowish start to the season and sit ninth in Serie A while Celtic are second In the SPL. Celtic got to this stage by overcoming Karagandy of Kazakhstan late on. Milan got here against much better opposition beating PSV. Milan have won both of their competitive home games to date this season relatively comfortably 3-1 and 3-0. Last time out away from home in the Champions League Celtic lost 2-0 to Karagandy and now face a much higher caliber of opposition. Milan have far more ability than Celtic and should dispatch of the easily enough.

Arsenal to beat Marseille 6/4:

In this so called “Group of Death” Marseille look to be the weakest side, so if Arsenal have any hope of progressing they will have to beat the French side. After defeat to Villa on the opening day of the league Arsenal have been flying, now winning five matches on the spin. They have played brilliantly in this time and are full of confidence and quality especially with Ozil now at the club. Marseille currently sit 4^th in Ligue 1 and after winning their first three league matches are now without a win in their last two. They also lost their last home match against Monaco. Historically, Marseille haven’t been great in the Champions League and have won just two of their last eight matches in the competition. Marseille have also lost three of their last four matches in the Champions League at home and Arsenal themselves beat them two years ago. Arsenal will need to get off to a strong start tonight to have any chance of escaping their group and they should get off to a good start tonight.

Schalke 04 to beat Steaua Bucharest 2/5:

After a slow start to their season, Schalke are now moving up through the gears in time for this clash. The German’s have now won three matches in a row and are beginning to look good. They overcame PAOK to get to this stage of the competition and will be hoping to get their group stage off to a good start. After 5 games in their league Steaua rest 4^th. They got to this stage by getting past Legia Warsaw on away goals. A good side for Romanian standards but in the Champions League, the quality of Schalke should be too much. They have lost five of their last six in the Champions League and the Germans should take this easily.
