Accumulator Betting Tip for Saturday 3rd August – 17/1 Acca

Well it’s finally back. The Football League returns this weekend with a full program of fixtures and is sure to be in the spotlight with the Premier League still two weeks away.

This four-fold accumulator tip gives odds of just over 17/1 with William Hill, I’ve kept it small this week with there being no form to go off:

Reading to beat Ipswich 10/11:

Reading’s return to the second flight sees’s them take on Ipswich and they will be looking to get off to the perfect start. They’ve managed to keep hold of the majority of their squad and have improved it with two great signings in Wayne Bridge and Royston Drenthe who could be very good at this level. Ipswich really struggled away from home last season, picking up just 6 wins.  Reading will be up amongst the promotion chasers come the end of the season and should get off to a perfect start against an Ipswich side who will be hoping to avoid another relegation scrap this season.

Doncaster to beat Blackpool 6/4:

Doncaster will be hoping to use the momentum of last year’s promotion get off to a great start in the Championship. Donny haven’t been very active in the transfer market and will be using last year’s squad to keep them up. They should beat a Blackpool side who struggled all year only saving themselves from relegation at the death. Without Tom Ince the Blackpool squad is very poor and they don’t seem to have replaced the huge amount of players that left in the summer. Rovers should get off to a great start by seeing off Blackpool.

Millwall to beat Yeovil 21/20:

Yeovil were surprise Play-Off winners last season (unless you listened to Thatsagoal.com who tipped them to win the Play-Offs.) However, now in the Championship, I fully expect them to struggle.  The squad is good enough for League One but not the Championship. They face a real baptism of fire as they head to The Den.  Steve Lomas has replaced Kenny Jackett and I expect them to get underway with a win. The Den is a hard place to go and with quality additions in Scott McDonald and Nick Bailey they should have far too much for Yeovil this weekend.

Bristol City to beat Bradford 10/11:

Bristol City should get their campaign to return to the Championship off to a perfect start against Bradford. Bristol City have undergone a lot of change losing some key men but have got a good squad for this level. Frank Fielding, Scott Wagstaff and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas have all signed and should shine at this level. With Sean O’Driscoll in charge they have a man who has achieved promotion on more than one occasion and should have a strong year, especially at Ashton Gate. Bradford I don’t expect to go straight back down to League 2 and should have an okay year but they haven’t improved the squad enough and Bristol City should have far too much quality.
