Cobh Ramblers v Mervue United, Both teams to score 8/13 (Saturday 7.45 pm). It is arguable that this pick doesn’t make much sense. In 11 away games (including cups) Mervue have only scored in three of those games. However, Cobh have scored in every home game except one. I expect the home side to continue their attacking nature forcing Mervue into a more attacking style. A result similar to the 5-3 Cobh Ramblers win earlier in the season is unlikely but Mervue should be able to find a goal for their promotion search.

Waterford United to beat Salthill Devon 4/7 (Friday 7.45 pm). With their future secure, Waterford United will look to get back to winning ways as they take on the bottom placed Salthill Devon. Salthill have improved of late but they should be able to cope with the firepower of Waterford. New singing Danny Furlong, who top scored in the division last season, will bolster the Waterford attack. Expect a close game but Waterford’s talent should earn them three points.

Bray Wanderers v Shelbourne, Under 3.5 goals 4/11 (Sunday 3.30pm). Shelbourne have had 14 games in a row with three goals or less. They have been on good form of late and take on a Bray side who the second worst home scoring record in the league. In truth I wouldn’t put anybody off of backing under 2.5 at evens but I will stay cautious at under and advise you to back under 3.5.
